Padmavati Movie is an upcoming much awaited Indian periodic film directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. In the movie Deepika Padukone Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh will be seen in the lead role.

The film is jointly produced by Mr Bhansali and Viacom 18. The budget is set out to be 200 crores for the whole film. Recently Ajit Andhare Chief Operating Officer of Viacom 18 said that the movie is going to be like something you have never seen before. The release date for the Padmavati movie is set to be 17 November 2017.

Padmavati Movie Story (Review)

Unlike the movie “Bajirao Mastani” Ranveer Singh will not be seen romancing with Deepika Padukone in the next. This time he is going to turn anti-hero while portraying the character of Alauddin Khilji. In Padmavati movie, Sanjay Leela Bhansali is depicting the story of Alauddin Khilji, the second ruler of the Khilji Dynasty.

The film is written by Prakash Kapadia who has earlier worked with Sanjay Leela Bhansali in the famous projects like black Devdas Saawariya and most recently in Bajirao Mastani. As per the story we feel that the film is going to be really interesting.

Padmavati Movie story will be revolving around Alauddin Khilji and his obsessive love for the queen of Mewar, Rani Padmavati who was then married to Rana Ratan Singh. The queen was utterly famous for her beauty intellect charm and courage

Legend says that Alauddin heard about the unparalleled beauty of Rani Padmini and was eager to see her in person. When he got a glimpse of her he got so dazzled by her beauty that he decided to capture her. He ordered his army to attack the Chittor fort and invade the kingdom.

Even though the Mewar Army was outnumbered, Rana Ratan Singh declared that they would fight till their last breath. Rajput fought with great courage to protect their pride but in the end lost the war.

When Padmavati got to know about the developments she decided to commit Suicide Jauhar. As the men marched towards the fort celebrating their victory, a huge pyre was lit up. Following their queen Rani Padmini, the women of Mewar jumped into the pyre.

 Padmavati Movie Release Date

The Padmavati Movie is going to be released later this year in November December. The Date is estimated to be 17 November 2017. Now let’s hope the movie don’t get postponed due to the latest controversies surrounding it. We are eagerly waiting to watch this historical movie on the screens at the end of this year.
